SAN ANTONIO – Jan. 29, 2007 – Rackspace Managed Hosting™ today announced the company has named Troy Toman to vice president of customer care of the company’s Intensive™ Hosting division. Toman comes to Rackspace with more than 18 years of customer service, computer infrastructure, product development and marketing experience. In his new role at Rackspace, Toman will be responsible for the company’s enterprise hosting division, focusing on the continued delivery of Fanatical Support™ and the evolution of Rackspace’s consultative approach to working with its customers.
“Troy’s vast experience will enable him to be a strong leader for Intensive and continue to deliver enterprise-quality service and support to our customers,” said Lanham Napier, president and chief executive officer of Rackspace Managed Hosting. “He understands the relationship between the managed hosting business and the customer service industry and will help Rackspace continue its mission as the managed hosting specialist.”

Over his eight years there in multiple managerial roles, he went on to senior management roles in various customer care, product marketing and management positions at Sun Microsystems, Inktomi Corporation and Veritas Software. Immediately prior to Rackspace, Toman was the vice president of product marketing for Kazeon Systems where he was responsible for developing corporate messaging, positioning and branding, as well as defining product roadmaps and executing campaigns to secure new product recognition.
