Verio Bolsters It's Marketing Department

CENTENNIAL, Colo., June 24, 2008 - Verio, a leading provider of online business solutions, including hosting, application, and managed services, today announced that Wendy St. Clair Pearson has joined the company as senior director of marketing and communications and Kenneth Giffin has joined as director of marketing. Pearson and Giffin will work from the company's corporate headquarter in Centennial, CO., and will lead the relaunch of Verio's global marketing strategy.

With more than 15 years of strategic marketing experience in the business-to business, hosting and technology arena, Wendy Pearson will immediately assume responsibility for all aspects of Verio's marketing and communications initiatives, leveraging her expertise to further establish the company as a global leader in hosting, applications and managed services for small and midsized businesses.

Pearson joins Verio from Breakthrough Management Group International, (BMGI) a global Lean Six Sigma consulting firm, where she led the company's marketing, branding and communications efforts since 2003. Prior to BMGI, she served as director of marketing and communications for hosting and colocation provider ViaWest, and as marketing manager at Rocky Mountain Internet, solidifying her expertise in marketing communications for the online business solutions industry. Pearson holds a Bachelor of Science, Journalism, from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.

In his role at Verio, Ken Giffin will use his more than 15 years of B2B and technology marketing experience to further enhance Verio's new team. As director of marketing, Giffin will hold overall marketing responsibility for the Via Verio reseller program and leading the company's product marketing .

Giffin joins Verio from Quark, where he served as vice president of marketing. Prior to Quark, he held several marketing leadership positions in General Electric's Access Distribution division, involving corporation marketing and communications, customer loyalty and demand generation. As an expert in developing high-performance programs and teams, Giffin has helped companies such as 3Com, American Express and Sun Microsystems navigate significant global, distribution, technology, and marketing changes.
