The Planet Offers Unmetered Servers from $99

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Planet, the global leader in IT hosting, today announced a landmark promotion that provides unmetered bandwidth on select servers for one low monthly price. In many cases, The Planet's popular unmetered bandwidth packages – typically $200 for 10 Mbps or $1,800 for 100 Mbps of bandwidth per month – are essentially cost-free on these servers.

For example, the Dual Xeon 3.2, regularly priced at $299 per month, is now available for $144, which includes 10 Mbps of unmetered bandwidth. The same server is priced at $544 with 100 Mbps of unmetered bandwidth – a combination normally priced at $2,099.

“The success of any company's Web site is often tempered by unforeseen costs related to increased traffic and related bandwidth overage charges,” said Urvish Vashi, general manager of dedicated hosting for The Planet. “With our low-priced unmetered servers, customers can cost-effectively plan for scale, avoiding expensive overages. And, The Planet provides only quality bandwidth from seven tier-1 providers, which heightens the value for customers.”
