Clerity to Speak on Cloud-Based Mainframe Migration

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Barry Tait from Clerity Solutions, a full-service provider of mainframe migration, modernization and optimization solutions, will be a featured speaker at the HP Discover 2011 Conference in Las Vegas June 6-10.

Tait will speak on Taking Legacy Mainframe Applications to the Private Enterprise Cloud. The talk is designed for IT executives from organizations with aging or legacy applications that are concerned about lowering TCO and enabling faster time to market.

“Standardizing and centralizing infrastructure through private cloud-based initiatives is a popular way to keep IT costs down, while enhancing flexibility and efficiency,” noted Tait. “The session will detail how mainframe migration services and software from HP and Clerity help organizations add legacy applications and data to the private enterprise cloud, maximizing benefits of this innovative computing model.”

Clerity’s UniKix Mainframe Rehosting software and the Clerity Mainframe Rehosting Reference Architecture enable migrated legacy assets to be rapidly partitioned, provisioned, and deployed in behind-the-firewall cloud and consolidation-based initiatives. Moving valuable business logic and data previously addressed by IBM® CICS® transactions, IBM IMS™ applications, Natural Adabas workloads, and related environments onto standardized, virtualized environments gives customers more flexibility and better capability to optimize the overall bottom line.

The Clerity Mainframe Rehosting Reference Architecture provides a blueprint for services such as authentication, security and governance, and data mapping to facilitate legacy applications and data migration to the private enterprise cloud. Clerity's UniKix software provides a robust environment for deploying mission-critical online and batch mainframe applications on open systems. Companies that migrate mainframe workloads to open systems with UniKix mainframe rehosting technology typically reduce annual operating costs by 30 to 70 percent.

Clerity will also be an exhibitor at the HP Discover Conference. Experts will be on hand at Booth 180 for technical product demonstrations and discussions.
